This is how the string reacts when you play a shot. Many players have elbow or shoulder problems, and they usually prefer a string that helps to absorb some of the shock.

Response

The meaning of this word causes some players difficulty. It is a combination of “Power” and the “Feedback” that you feel from the strings. This is very important to a top player but is probably required less by club players. The response is also influenced by the type of racket used.

Control

Control The simplest way to describe this is with a question. Does the ball go where you intended? If the answer is yes, you have good control with your shot. The string and the ball should have contact slightly longer to give better control.

Durability

Strings are manufactured from different materials. Some are more durable than others. Players who break strings frequently want a longer lasting string.
