Racket Head Size and String Area The size of a racket is normally described as Mid, Mid-Plus or Oversize. The actual string area is normally shown in either square centimetres or inches. A larger string area generally creates a greater “Sweet Spot” and gives you more power. A smaller area gives less power but normally also provides better control.
