Racket Length

A standard racket is 686 mm (27 inches) long. There are many models with a length up to 711 mm (28 inches) and perhaps others are even longer.

A longer racket usually is more powerful, but there is less control. Most professional players still use the standard length rackets, but longer rackets are popular with club players.

Some players find the longer length causes problems at first. They usually find after a short time they have adjusted to the new length.
