Tennis Racket Grip Sizes

The grip size is normally shown on the racket. It is usually shown as L3 or G4 and sometimes Grip 3. This is often shown on the shaft of the racket or on the grip end. The letter refers to the weight, and the number is the grip size.

The standard unit of measurement for grips is one eighth of an inch. The measurement is made round the handle. A Grip 2 is four and two eighths (one quarter) of an inch. The next size is a Grip 3 which is four and three eighths of an inch.
