Insoles

Many people who have problems with their feet decide to try new insoles in their shoes. This appears to be a sensible solution to the problem. There are many different brands most of which claim to have a solution for your problem.

If this solves your problem, you have been very fortunate. It could also mean that your shoes are not the most suitable for you. Most modern shoes have good cushioning, and it is unlikely that a new insole will change the cushioning effect by a large amount.

It would probably be better for most people to purchase a different type of shoe. There are shoes available from most brands that offer extra comfort. This would save the cost of the insole and probably provide improved cushioning.

Pronation

This is one of the main reasons for foot problems. It is the name used to describe the rolling action of your foot.

The outside edge of the foot strikes the ground first, and your foot then uses a rolling motion to the inside.

All you have to do is correct this, and your problem should be solved.

The most effective solution to the problem is to use a Sports Orthotic. Selecting a suitable type for sports use is described.
